Rumors from Tevinter establish Thor as not the brightest, but generally friendly and rather loud and enthusiastic. Of course, generally friendly only applies to who he views as equals: humans and Dwarves. While he's not cruel to elves, he does view them as beneath him. And he hates qunari.
